PCS Edventures continue their STEM education drive with a contest which looks to explore the creativity of the next generation of drone pilots.
Amazing things happen when you put the power in the hands of your students. When learners open their minds to a place where imagination and innovation run freely with creativity and ingenuity, there’s no limit to what they can accomplish. With the freedom of inquiry, the sky’s the limit — there’s no telling what our students will be able to do.
Which is why we’ve introduced the How would you drone? Drones for Good Video Contest.
PCS Edventures: With this contest, we’re asking students to open their minds to creative solutions that can be solved with drones. With UAVs steadily becoming more and more important fixtures in our lives, it’s the prepared learners of today who will lead the drone renaissance.
In the Drones for Good Video Contest, we’re asking participants to submit a 60-90 second filmed explanation of how they would use drones to solve global issues. From search and rescue to bringing aid to the furthest reaches of the world, the sky really is the limit on what is possible with drones.
By participating in the Contest, students are putting their critical thinking skills to the test as they utilize science, technology and 21st-century learning standards to participate in a global conversation.
Through their participation, students are not only eligible for over $15,000 worth of drone prizes for themselves and their schools, but they’re also preparing for and engaging in the future CTE and STEM careers that will come about through continued drone innovation.
Starting from September 7th, 2018, entries will only be accepted through October 5th, 2018, where an open-to-the-public voting period will begin. Your students and your school have a great chance at claiming the prizes.
